Violin and Viola Lessons

Violin and Viola Lessons

Overview

Our violin and viola teachers can teach a wide variety of genres. The violin is normally associated with classical and folk music, but our violin teachers can teach every genre from pop to jazz and even some fiddle! Our students spend time each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and intonation. But also have their favorite songs incorporated into the lessons so they learn how to play their favorite piece. Our violin teachers, through their care and expertise, will certainly nurture any student’s love of the violin.

Our violin and viola instructors are warm, friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student's favorite type of music.Whether you're playing in local bands, a seven-year-old taking their first lesson, or a fifty-year-old returning to the violin after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.

Are there performance opportunities?

Absolutely! Every May, our students have the opportunity to perform in front of their family and friends. We also have the Home Concert Series, which is a big success with everyone, and a great preparation for the big recital.

Unlike most of other music schools, we do not charge students a fee to perform, and admission is free. We do raise donations (contributions are optional) for nonprofit institutions that offer music programs to underprivileged children. We believe that philanthropy and music go hand in hand.
